Welcome to Week 22 of Weigh Me Wednesday: My Journey with Nutrisystem! As a Nutrisystem Nation Blogger Program member, I am on the Women's Diabetes Select Program!
First, I'm sorry I'm a day late on my post. We have been incredibly busy over the last few days and I didn't have a chance to sit down and do it yesterday. Second, I lost half a pound! It's not as much as I'd like, but it's still something.
Exercise:
I don't know what happened to the beautiful weather that we had for a whole two days last week but it has been windy and absolutely freezing over the last week. Even though it looks bright and sunny outside, I can feel the wind through my window and it is not warm. So unfortunately I wasn't able to get outside for any new activities. I'm starting to think it's a conspiracy. So right now I have just been doing my usual Wii games and elliptical workouts for my Nutrisystem recommended daily activities. We are supposed to do three activities a day for at least ten minutes each. I admit I have slacked over the last few days because we have been so busy. I'm hoping things will die down a bit for next week so I can get more exercise in.
Food:
This week I tried a new frozen dinner, the Salisbury Steak with Mac and Cheese. While I can't say that I was much of a fan of the mac and cheese (I'm really picky when it comes to this), I did really like the steak. Nutrisystem has an incredible menu with plenty to choose from, which is a great thing for people like me who are a bit on the picky side. The best part is that they have a menu plan specially made for those of us with diabetes. This helps me eat the right portions as well as keep my blood sugar under control. And it's easy to cook, which is also awesome for those of us who are a little on the lazy side too :)
So what's my goal for next week?
I'm aiming for another pound next week. Hopefully the weather will finally change and I can get outside and work towards a bigger goal. I just know that if I could play some tennis or badminton a few times a week that there would be pounds just dripping off.
