On My Wish List is a fun weekly event hosted by Book Chick City and runs every Saturday. It's where we list all the books we desperately want but haven't actually bought yet. They can be old, new or forthcoming.
Title: What Happened to Goodbye
Author: Sarah Dessen
Publication Date: May 10, 2011
From Goodreads:
Since her parents' bitter divorce, McLean and her dad, a restaurant consultant, have been on the move-four towns in two years. Estranged from her mother and her mother's new family, McLean has followed her dad in leaving the unhappy past behind. And each new place gives her a chance to try out a new persona: from cheerleader to drama diva. But now, for the first time, McLean discovers a desire to stay in one place and just be herself, whoever that is. Perhaps Dave, the guy next door, can help her find out.
I have a confession to make: I have yet to read anything by Sarah Dessen. There, I said it. Please don't judge me. Even though I have yet to read one of her books, I have been picking them up each time I see them at Goodwill (my favorite book buying store. Seriously, $2 for a pretty much new hardcover is a hell of a deal!) so I have a few in my TBR pile. I will get to them soon, I promise, but I've had my eye on this one in particular. I don't know what it is, I think I just love the cover, but I want it! I have yet to get a successful trade in for this so it is still hanging out on my wish list for now. But it will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine...
I really need to read ANYTHING from Sarah Dessen. I said that last year, and never did it. I think she is an author that I would absolutely love, I just keep getting more and more other books to read first!
