Once Upon a Read-a-Thon: Day 3 Challenges

It's time for the Day 3 Challenges from the Once Upon a Read-a-Thon!

Today's challenge is brought to us by Dizneeee's World of Books:

Tell me your favorite genre, favorite book within that genre, and your favorite character from the same genre:

1. My favorite genre is YA dystopian/post-apocalyptic. I can't get enough of those end of the world stories! 
2. Just one favorite? I don't know if I can choose just one... If I have to pick one, then I guess I have to choose The Hunger Games. I know, I know. But honestly, I loved these books and not only were they the first dystopian books I read, but also the first Young Adult books I read. I guess I can say that I owe them a lot. Without them, I never would have stumbled my way into this incredibly amazing world of Young Adult.
3. This is a hard one because there are just so many fantastic characters. But the first one that comes to mind is Jackal from The Eternity Cure. Yea, I know he's a bad guy and all but he is just so freakin' hilarious. I've never come across a character so evil yet so entertaining.
