Synopsis:
Kirsten Hammarstrom hasn't been home to her tiny corner of rural Wisconsin in years-not since the mysterious disappearance of a local teenage girl rocked the town and shattered her family. Kirsten was just nine years old when Stacy Lemke went missing, and the last person to see her alive was her boyfriend, Johnny-the high school wrestling star and Kirsten's older brother. No one knows what to believe-not even those closest to Johnny-but the event unhinges the quiet farming community and pins Kirsten's family beneath the crushing weight of suspicion.
Now, years later, a new tragedy forces Kirsten and her siblings to return home, where they must confront the devastating event that shifted the trajectory of their lives.

I've noticed a new theme in book covers lately: jars. Not that I'm complaining, I happen to quite like them. It makes me wish I was somehow crafty and could make something pretty out of jars. But I contain less than 1% of artistic material so I guess that will never happen. Anyway, this book is screaming for me for many reasons. I love family drama and tragedies. The more depressing the book, the more I like it. Not sure what that says about me, but that's ok lol.
What about you? What's on your wish list this week? Leave me a link and I'll come check it out!
This sounds like a great family drama - mystery story, but I don't think the cover really fits.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of super depressing stories but I do like a good mystery!
