Welcome to week 2 of Weigh Me Wednesday: My Journey with Nurtrisystem!
This week wasn't as great an accomplishment as week #1. Last week I lost an incredible eight pounds, while this week I only lost two. I know, I know. Losing too much weigh rapidly is not a good thing, so I have to remind myself that two pounds a week is actually the healthiest way to lose weight, at least according to my doctor. And I also have to remind my self that even if I only lose two pounds a week, that's over 100 pounds a year!
I also need to mention that I recently started a new medication. This hasn't been going well. My body is still adjusting and man is it having a field day with me! I have been nauseous and just feeling quite crappy. That meant I slept more this week and didn't get much exercise. I have a very bad feeling that next week's weigh in won't be as generous due to this too. I'm hoping my body will adjust quickly and let me get back at it!
So, let's talk about my favorite food item this week. It was the breakfast burrito! I am not usually a fan of burritos, but this one is pretty awesome.
I love the choicesNutrisystem gives you! I love being able to get up in the morning and throw something in the microwave for a minute and eat it. No having to put things together or cooking required. And it tastes so good! I'm still loving the Creamy Chocolate Protein Shake too, I look forward to it every morning :)
Another fun thing about this Nutrisystem Blogger Program is that I'm not doing it alone! My aunt Betsy, resident blogger at Schmoozing With Betsy, is also doing the Nutrisystem program and she comes over every week to exercise with me. This week we played some Wii and did some elliptical. I'm hoping to feel better soon so I can really do some serious workouts and maybe even take a walk or two if the weather stays nice.
So even though I only lost two pounds this week, it's still a step in the right direction. I hope next week will be one too and I will continue to find success thanks to Nutrisystem! I'd like to once again say thank you toMeredith Bandyand Nutrisystemfor giving me the opportunity to take part in their program!
Remember to stop by next Wednesday for Week Three's results!

Title: Hysteria
Author: Megan Miranda
Expected Publication Date: February 5, 2013
From Goodreads:
After stabbing and killing her boyfriend, sixteen-year-old Mallory, who has no memory of the event, is sent away to a boarding school to escape the gossip and threats, but someone or something is following her.
I like that this Goodreads description is quick and to the point. I haven't read Fracture yet, but I hear good things. So this week I decided to go with Hysteria because, well honestly, I kind of love this cover. I am also a fan of random amnesia and am curious to see just why she can't remember stabbing someone. My guess is because she didn't actually do it, but we will have to wait and see. Did you get your hands on an ARC of this? Was it awesome?
What are you waiting on this week? Leave me a link in the comments and I'll come check it out!
"The only noise I could hear as I went out into the street and clicked the front door shut behind me was the noise of their voices, low and murmuring, talking about something I wasn't allowed to hear."
Welcome to Showcase Sunday, hosted by Books, Biscuits and Tea. The aim of this event is to showcase our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed form the libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders this week. Well it was another small week here for goodies at my door, but that's ok! I have officially run out of space on all bookcases but one, and that one is pretty full too. I am so incredibly behind in reading them, but I just can't stop myself from buying them! Those shiny covers call to me in the night time saying "Tiffany.... buy me... sniff me.... you know how much I want to be yours!" And I do, I do know. Because I want them to be mine just as much. When will I finally read all the books on my shelf? Probably never, but I won't go down without a fight!
Yesterday was the start of a new month, one in which I have several reviews due. That means I need to get serious here and read those review books that have been piling up. I've been late on most of my reviews and it is pretty shameful. Every weekend (this one included), I say to myself "This will be the weekend that I finally read all those books!" and I mean it. But it doesn't happen. The husband wants attention, the kids want to eat (they are so selfish!) and all I want is to sit in my chair with my electric blanket and a pile of lovies. What? You don't call your books lovies? Pshh, I know what you're thinking, but I'm not crazy...
I've won a few more goodies over the last week or two that should be arriving at my door sometime soon so that means I need to make room, which also means that I might finally get around to another bookshelf tour, woohoo! Who would be interested in one of those? I personally love them even though I get incredibly jealous of other people's goodies. What do you think, should I make one?
Now that I've rambled on for a really loooooong time, tell me about your week! What goodies came for you? You know the drill, hook me up with a link in the comments and I will come drool over your new pile of awesome :)
Dottie is a woman with a heart full of emotions but unable to express them unless through written word. When Jack goes off to war, Dottie is left behind having to be strong for their young daughter, Mary.
While Jack is away, she keeps a journal full of letters for Jack, for him to read when he comes home. Except, Jack has gone missing and leaves Dottie to fend for herself.
Were you one of the readers who wanted to know about the story behind Dottie and Doug? This is where you'll find out.
~My Thoughts~
Dear Jack is a novella that goes along with Finding Emma by Steena Holmes. Some of you may remember that I reviewed Finding Emma on the blog this summer, which you can read here.
Dear Jack is the story of Dottie and Jack, two of the main characters in Finding Emma. Told in journal entries from Dottie to Jack over the period of two years, we finally get a glimpse into their past. Jack has just signed up for the war, leaving Dottie alone to take care of their young daughter, Mary. Although the story is rather short, I loved it. I found it a perfect addition to this series and a very necessary one.
Although Dottie isn't the most likable character in Finding Emma, I think this short back story will truly help readers connect with her and help them understand her actions. That, and it is rather heartbreaking. I honestly felt her pain as she struggled with the choices she had to make while Jack was away. Choices nobody should even have to consider.
Finding Emma is an incredible story and I couldn't be happier with how Dear Jack has turned out. I highly recommend picking up both of these stories, but be sure to start with Finding Emma so nothing is given away during Dear Jack.

On My Wish List is a fun weekly event hosted by Workaday Reads and runs every Saturday. It's where we list all the books we desperately want but haven't actually bought yet. They can be old, new or forthcoming.
Title: Bad Girls Don't Die
Author: Katie Alender
Publication Date: April 21, 2009
Synopsis:
Alexis thought she led a typically dysfunctional high school existence. Dysfunctional like her parents' marriage; her doll-crazy twelve-year-old sister, Kasey; and even her own anti-social, anti-cheerleader attitude. When a family fight results in some tearful sisterly bonding, Alexis realizes that her life is creeping from dysfunction into danger. Kasey is acting stranger than ever: her blue eyes go green sometimes; she uses old-fashioned language; and she even loses track of chunks of time, claiming to know nothing about her strange behavior. Their old house is changing, too. Doors open and close by themselves; water boils on the unlit stove; and an unplugged air conditioner turns the house cold enough to see their breath in. Alexis wants to think that it's all in her head, but soon, what she liked to think of as silly parlor tricks are becoming life-threatening--to her, her family, and to her budding relationship with the class president. Alexis knows she's the only person who can stop Kasey -- but what if that green-eyed girl isn't even Kasey anymore?
I think the first thing that attracted me to this series were the covers. A little weird and creepy, I love it! I'm not sure why I haven't picked these up yet, probably because I'm still desperately trying to keep up with newer releases, but I think I'll try to get them soon. They sound freaky, and a cover like this one deserves to be held (and possible sniffed!). Have you read this series? What did you think?
