Waiting On Wednesday (74)

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Title: Where the Stars Still Shine
Author: Trish Doller
Expected Publication Date: September 24, 2013

Synopsis:

Stolen as a child from her large and loving family, and on the run with her mom for more than ten years, Callie has only the barest idea of what normal life might be like. She's never had a home, never gone to school, and has gotten most of her meals from laundromat vending machines. Her dreams are haunted by memories she’d like to forget completely. But when Callie’s mom is finally arrested for kidnapping her, and Callie’s real dad whisks her back to what would have been her life, in a small town in Florida, Callie must find a way to leave the past behind. She must learn to be part of a family. And she must believe that love--even with someone who seems an improbable choice--is more than just a possibility.
First, I have to say how much I *LOVE* this cover. I love the colors, the background and even the font. Yup, I do. Next, have I ever told you that I am a little more than obsessed with missing person cases? Well, I am. In fact, I'm so obsessed with them that I even went to college for criminal justice because I love all things crime related. My dream is to one day work at the National Center for Missing Children. But, since I live absolutely nowhere near Virginia, it is not meant to be. Maybe I'll move there one day, but probably not. Anyway, this also fuels my obsession with books, If there is a book about a missing person, kidnappings, you name it, I want it. This one looks especially promising because not only does it have a kidnapping, but it's a family kidnapping and she also makes it home. I love reading what happens after the people are found. The only thing I am not thrilled about when it comes to this book is that I have to wait until September. SEPTEMBER! You're killing me here, Bloomsbury. So very, very cruel!
What about you? What are you desperately waiting for? Leave me a link in the comments and I'll come cry along with you :)
