Week 7 came and went incredibly fast. Why, you ask? Because I spent most of it sick in bed. I don't know what decided to invade my body this week but it was awful. I slept everyday until about 1pm just trying to sleep it away. I pretty much looked and felt like this:
Just lovely. This meant that I barely got any exercise and my schedule was way off. Being sick sucks, but I am so thankful for
Nutrisystem and their super easy meal plan. Most meals take less than two minutes to prepare and cook and that is a life saver when you are forcing yourself out of bed to eat. I was able to stay up long enough to eat breakfast and lunch before having to lay back down. The illness seems to have passed for the most part, although I did feel gross again today, but probably because I passed it along to the husband.
Unfortunately though, getting little exercise meant losing little. Or in this case, nothing. I didn't lose anything this week but I didn't gain either, yay! As long as I don't start going back up on the scale, I feel positive about my
Nutrisystem journey.
I did want to talk about a new dinner I tried this week. Of course, I completely spaced it and forgot to take a picture (promise to next time!) but you can see
Nutrisystem's picture below:
I was a little apprehensive about trying out these meet patties before because they come ready to cook in a box. How can meat stay fresh in a box and not need to be refrigerated? I don't know how Nutrisystem does it, but it works. This patty was actually pretty tasty! I'm definitely going to be ordering more and I can't wait to try out their other meat patties!
Tomorrow I head to the doctor for my usual diabetes check up. I go every few months to have my A1c level checked and all that other fun stuff. This will be my first time having my levels checked after starting Nutrisystem so I can't wait to see what effect it has had on my health besides the weight loss. Cross your fingers it will be super positive!
Having diabetes means having to make better, healthier choices when it comes to food and drinks. I'm so thankful that Nutrisystem has a plan specially made just for me. The food is properly portioned and easy to cook. And I can't forget yummy! I'm loving the success I'm having on my Nutrisystem journey!
So what's my goal for next week?
To lose another pound! I'm going slow and steady in this race and taking it a little at a time :)
Remember to stop by next week for Week 8's results!
Huge thanks to Meredith Bandy and Nutrisystem for giving me the opportunity to take part in their program!

I am totally freaked out by canned or non-refrigerated packed meat. I don't get it either. Congrats on not gaining anything and I hope you feel better!
