Waiting On Wednesday (97)

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Synopsis:

Making friends has never been Elise Dembowski’s strong suit. All throughout her life, she’s been the butt of every joke and the outsider in every conversation. When a final attempt at popularity fails, Elise nearly gives up. Then she stumbles upon a warehouse party where she meets Vicky, a girl in a band who accepts her; Char, a cute, yet mysterious disc jockey; Pippa, a carefree spirit from England; and most importantly, a love for DJing.

As much as I am looking forward to reading this, I know that some parts of it are going to make me cringe. You see, I can relate to Elise. I am an incredibly shy person so it is very hard for me to make new friends. Thankfully I've had the same set of friends since the third grade, even if I don't see them enough. But I can imagine how hard it is for Elise and I know that that last attempt at popularity mentioned above is probably going to be brutal. It makes me nervous just thinking about it. But I still feel the desperate urge to get my hands on this book, especially since the early reviews have been great.

What about you? What are you waiting for? Leave me a link and I'll come check it out!
