On My Wish List (60)

On My Wish List is a fun weekly event hosted by Workaday Reads and runs every Saturday. It's where we list all the books we desperately want but haven't actually bought yet. They can be old, new or forthcoming.

Title: The Perks of Being a Wallflower
Author: Stephen Chbosky
Publication Date: February 1, 1999

Synopsis:

It is the story of what it's like to grow up in high school. More intimate than a diary, Charlie's letters are singular and unique, hilarious and devastating. We may not know where he lives. We may not know to whom he is writing. All we know is the world he shares. Caught between trying to live his life and trying to run from it puts him on a strange course through uncharted territory. The world of first dates, family dramas, and new friends. The world of sex, drugs, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show, where all you need is that perfect song on that perfect drive to feel infinite.

This has been on my wish list for a long time. Even before the movie and all the hype surrounding it. I don't even remember how I came across it, but I knew I needed to read it. Now that the movie is out, I have seen it everywhere. Hopefully I can get my hands on it soon!

What is your heart's desire this week? Leave me a link in the comments and I'll come check it out!
