Blog Tour: GPS With Benefits by Vanessa Morgan - Review, Giveaway & a Visit from Vanessa too!

Thank you so much for visiting my stop on the GPS With Benefits blog tour! I'm so excited to have a review, gu and a giveaway for you today!

About GPS With Benefits:

In GPS WITH BENEFTIS, a womanizer purchases a new GPS device, not knowing it's one with a mind of 'her' own.

Review:

Well this was a fun read! Theo is a womanizer, he can't help himself when it comes to checking out lovely ladies. When Theo goes to buy a GPS system, the clerk talks him into buying one with enhancements. There are several options available, but Theo being Theo, he goes with the sexy female version. What follows is a hilarious first ride with the GPS that Theo will never forget.

I enjoyed this screenplay quite a bit. I found it funny and original. Everyone gets distracted while driving at least once in a while, and this GPS certainly knew how to stop that from happening. What I love most about screenplays is that you aren't just getting the main characters point of view or their interpretations of surroundings. Right away the scene is set for us and we aren't having to slowly build it in our minds over time.

The only issue I had with GPS With Benefits is that I wanted more! It was rather short and I would have loved to have seen the other GPS types in action. I highly recommend this screenplay to everyone. Fans of screenplays, lovers of short stories and anyone who has ever used a GPS will appreciate this story for sure!

Guest Post:

Please say hello to author Vanessa Morgan! Thank you, Vanessa, for taking the time to stop by the blog today!

Thank you for having me on your blog today. I'm truly honored to be here with all of you!

How many people do you know that make jokes about their GPS device or even talk to it?

Nearly everyone, right?

GPS devices know where you are and how fast you are driving. Who says that, in the near future, they won't be able to know you look at and what you say.

These thoughts form the basis of my new release, GPS WITH BENEFITS, in which a womanizer purchases a new GPS device, not knowing that it has a mind of 'her' own.

"The inspiration for GPS WITH BENEFITS came to me when I was in the car with a friend," Vanessa says. "We made jokes about the GPS device and imagined what it would be like if the GPS was actually aware of what the driver was thinking. I immediately knew that these ideas could be turned into a hilarious story."

I won't reveal more, but GPS WITH BENEFITS has some twists and turns that you won't see coming and that will have you laughing out loud.

Your turn... What's the weirdest or funniest thing a GPS has ever done to you?

  5. The gps map on my phone was set on fixed compass point, I guess, so I wound up following it in the complete opposite direction because I was holding it the wrong way..

  7. I haven't had a GPS either, but I thought it was funny when Michael Scott used one on The Office and it led him into a lake.

  10. We were going to a wedding in Wisconsin. Our "GPS Lady" took us around and around, then told us we were at our destination. We were in the middle of a forest, nothing around. We joke alot about our GPS, so this book sounds so funny!
